About Book

"Pharmaceutical science has existed since the inception of medicine. The pharmaceutical sector has seen significant change during the previous few decades. Automation and the internet have had a dramatic effect on the pharmaceutical sector. Pharmaceutical science is a broad umbrella term that encompasses a variety of scientific disciplines, including drug discovery and design, drug transport, drug action, clinical sciences, drug analysis, pharmacoeconomics, and regulatory affairs. Pharmaceutical chemistry is also a branch of pharmacy. It contributes to the discovery and development of novel drugs that save lives and enhance people's quality of life. Pharmaceutical science is distinct from pharmacy in that pharmacists analyse drug usage, distribute medicine, and interact with patients. Pharmaceutical scientists, on the other hand, operate more behind the scenes than pharmacists and are mostly involved in research to find, develop, and test new pharmaceuticals. Material characterisation has been a focus of study in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, as the qualities of the powder constituents dictate the features of the completed dosage form. It has been a laborious and time-consuming process to establish a link between the powder material's properties and the final dose form.

This book attempts to understand the multiple branches that fall under the discipline of pharmaceutical sciences and how such concepts have practical applications. It provides significant information of this discipline to help develop a good understanding of this discipline and related fields. It includes some of the vital pieces of work being conducted across the world, on various topics related to pharmaceutical science. It deals with understanding drugs on the molecular level, drug targets of neglected-diseases pathogens, organic molecules as drugs and prodrugs, antibacterial drugs and production of antibody-drug conjugates. It also sheds light on enhanced drug discovery, microplasma drug delivery and one-pot-condensation reaction of heterocyclic amine. It unfolds the innovative aspects of this field which will be crucial for the holistic understanding of the subject matter. Coherent flow of topics, student-friendly language and extensive use of examples make this book an invaluable source of knowledge. For students and researchers in the fields of pharmacology, hospital management, public health policy and pharmaceutical sciences, this book would prove to be very helpful.
