About Book

There is no aspect of the world order that the pandemic has not looked to reset. Geo-politics and geo-economics have now been permanently altered in the post-covid-19 globalized world. While the redundancy of multilateral institutions and agencies such as the World Health Organization is being debated across the world, there are now questions being raised about the efficacy of the World Trade Organization. This volume deals with how  COVID-19 pandemic has impacted international relations and affected the political systems of multiple countries, causing suspensions of legislative activities, isolation or deaths of multiple politicians, rescheduling of elections due to fears of spreading the virus. Thisvolume includes the response to the pandemic has resulted in unprecedented expansion of government power. Advocates of small government worry that the state will be reluctant to give up that power once the crisis is over, as has often been the case historically.
