About Book

An agrochemical is any substance used to help manage an agricultural ecosystem, or the community of organisms in a farming area. Agrochemicals include: fertilizers, liming and acidifying agents, soil conditioners, pesticides, and chemicals used in animal husbandry, such as antibiotics and hormones. The use of agrochemicals has been critical to the raising crop for food. However, some of these chemicals cause substantial environmental and ecological damage, greatly reducing their benefits. Various agrochemicals are given to livestock. Agrochemicals (mainly pesticides and fertilizers) represent an important tool to support and improve crop industry, agriculture technologies and livestock. In fact, an optimized use of such compounds along with correct methods and application ensure an increase in crop production, thus reducing costs. This book provides comprehensive insights into the field of agrochemical. It outlines the processes and applications of the subject in detail. It talks about various topics such as nanoparticle-based insecticides, environmental risk assessment, agrochemical properties, semiochemicals, agrochemical dependency, biorefinery chemicals and phytochemical quality. The topic covered in this extensive book deal with the core subject of agrochemical. Coherent flow of topics, student-friendly language and extensive use of examples make this book an invaluable source of knowledge. As this field is emerging at a rapid pace, the contents of this book will help the readers understand the modern concepts and applications of the subject. For all those who are interested in this subject, the book can prove to be an essential guide.
